🔍 TEAM BREAKDOWNS
🥇 Northwood (31-19, 25-7 G-MAC) – Top Overall Seed
The Timberwolves enter as the most complete team in the league, combining power at the plate with depth on the mound. They lead all G-MAC teams in conference wins and have the best overall seed. Expect them to lean on their experience and poise. They face Tiffin in their opener and headline Pool B. Northwood has the 19th-best ERA in the country.
🥈 Ashland (35-15, 24-8 G-MAC)
The most wins of any team in the field. Ashland has an explosive offense and quality arms and opens against a gritty Ohio Dominican squad. A potential Ashland vs. Walsh pool play showdown could decide who punches their ticket to Saturday.
🔥 Walsh (20-24, 18-13 G-MAC) – South Division Champion
Walsh powered through a tight South Division and earned the No. 2 seed. Despite an overall losing record, their conference play was strong. They’ll try to assert themselves early against Kentucky Wesleyan.
⚔️ Findlay (24-25, 16-14 G-MAC)
A gritty middle seed with a potent lineup that’s shown flashes. Findlay will need strong outings on the mound to escape Pool B, starting with Hillsdale in Game 3.
⛏️ Hillsdale (24-26, 17-15 G-MAC)
The Chargers are quietly dangerous. They have some veteran pieces and will look to play spoiler early. A win in Game 3 could completely shift the pool dynamic.
🐉 Tiffin (23-27, 14-18 G-MAC) – 2024 Runner-Up
Last year’s Cinderella nearly won it all. The Dragons are scrappy and resilient, and their draw against Northwood in Game 4 is one of the most intriguing matchups of Day 1.
🐾 Ohio Dominican (21-28, 15-16 G-MAC)
A streaky team capable of catching fire. Their offense has thump, and if their pitching steadies, they’re more than capable of making noise.
🐱 Kentucky Wesleyan (21-26, 13-16 G-MAC)
They’re no strangers to this stage. The Panthers are one of six programs in the field with a G-MAC title and could surprise if they topple Walsh early.

🎯 FINAL THOUGHTS
This is one of the more wide open G-MAC fields in recent memory. While Northwood enters as the clear top seed, Ashland is playing just as well, and several middle seeds — including Findlay, Hillsdale, and Walsh — have proven they can beat anyone. Can the Timberwolves finish the job? Will Ashland’s offense carry them to a title? Or does another underdog story await in Mason? Clear your schedules — we’ve got four days of G-MAC chaos ahead.
