May 8–11 | Jackson Field – Lansing, Michigan
Six teams. Four days. One title on the line.
The 2025 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Baseball Tournament returns to Jackson Field in Lansing, Michigan for a double-elimination showdown that could shake up the regional landscape. With the NCAA Tournament looming, teams have one final chance to build their résumés—or punch their automatic bid to the dance.

🥇 The Field:
No. 1 Davenport Panthers (Bye Game 1): Davenport has been the class of the GLIAC all season long and earned the right to select their first-round game time. The Panthers will open at 3 p.m. Thursday against No. 6 seed Roosevelt, who’s making its GLIAC Tournament debut.
No. 2 Grand Valley State Lakers: The Lakers bring tradition and recent momentum into the tournament. GVSU opens things up Thursday morning at 11 a.m. against No. 5 Saginaw Valley State in a classic GLIAC rivalry with high stakes.
No. 3 Wayne State Warriors: Consistently dangerous, Wayne State has postseason experience and pitching depth that could carry them deep. They meet No. 4 Parkside in the Thursday nightcap at 7 p.m.—a rematch from a recent split series.
No. 4 Parkside Rangers: Parkside has quietly played its way into contender status. They’ll need a big showing at the plate to overcome the Warriors’ staff.
No. 5 Saginaw Valley State Cardinals: SVSU enters as a wildcard—capable of an upset if their pitching holds. A strong showing against GVSU would shake up the bracket early.
No. 6 Roosevelt Lakers: In their first full season of GLIAC membership, Roosevelt is playing with house money. If they can surprise Davenport, the bracket could turn chaotic fast.
#'s
If it's close, Jake Shelagowski (SVSU) could make an impact, he has 11 saves, tied for the 3rd most in D2.
Lucas Mead from SVSU is hitting .441, 7th best in D2.
JJ Arbini's (SVSU) 5.01 hits allowed per nine is 2nd best in the country.
Grand Valley State can motor around the base paths, and they rarely allow others to do the same. What does this mean? Well, their .49 triples per game is tied for 3rd best in D2, but they have the 4th best ERA in the country also.
Davenport and Grand Valley are both top-10 in the nation in Hits Allowed per nine.
Bottom Line: Everyone else in the Midwest Region is hoping that Davenport or Grand Valley wins the tournament, otherwise, it's a stolen bid. The only other team in the regional rankings was Saginaw, they were 9th, though. (7 teams get in from the Midwest, and three auto bids - GLIAC, G-MAC, and GLVC)
