Angelo State remains the team to beat, holding firm at No. 1 with a 35-7 record and a firm grip on the South Central region. Right behind them, Tampa (32-6) and Central Missouri (28-9) stay steady at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, continuing their impressive consistency.
Florida Southern (No. 4) and North Greenville (No. 5) round out the top five, with NGU jumping three spots thanks to a torrid 36-8 run, winning 12 in a row. Minnesota State (No. 6) continues to stack wins and remains the second-highest-ranked Central region program behind UCM.
Two big risers highlight the week: Carson-Newman leaps to No. 15 after surging through SAC play, now in second place in the league standings behind Catawba after taking two of three from previously top-5 Lenior-Rhyne, while Grand Valley State climbs to No. 16 and enters the thick of the Midwest race.
Joining the rankings this week is Pittsburg State at No. 22, powered by a 30-7 record and strong MIAA standing. Meanwhile, Point Loma dropped from the Top-25.
Joining a competitive "receiving votes" list is Cal State Monterey Bay, Northwood, Regis, and West Florida.
With conference races tightening and postseason implications growing, the final weeks of the regular season will be crucial — and chaotic.
