April 6th D2 Baseball Top 25: Two New Teams Enter the Top 10 for the First Team, Two Teams Enter the Rankings for the First Time

In the latest D2 Baseball Top 25 rankings, Colorado Mesa (34-3), Tampa (28-5), and Catawba (28-7) remain in the top three spots. Colorado Mesa swept its four-game series against Adams State. Both Tampa and Catawba dropped their first game to Florida Southern and Anderson, respectively, but won both games of the Saturday doubleheader.
North Greenville (32-7) jumps one spot to No.4 after a 4-0 week that including sweeping then No.13 Young Harris on back-to-back walkoffs in the D2 Baseball Series of the Week.
Pittsburg State (28-7) dropped one spot after a 2-1 week where they won a road series against Fort Hays State, which included a 4-homer game by Dagen Brewer and a cycle by Isaac Webb in the same game. Point Loma (32-7) moves up 4 spots to No.6 after a weekend sweep at Hawaii-Hilo. Grand Valley State (26-6) split a four-game series on the road at rival Wayne State (MI) and drops one spot to No.7.
Francis Marion (30-8) moves up three spots to No.8 after a home series win against RV UNC Pembroke and a midweek win at Newberry.
UT Tyler (29-9) moves up five spots to No.9 after a road series win against RV UT Dallas, winning three of the four games.
Rogers State (30-5) rounds out the Top 10, going 3-1 with its first ever series win at Central Missouri with a midweek win over Central Oklahoma. The Hillcats now have a two-game lead in the MIAA at 18-3, over Northwest Missouri State, who they play this weekend.
West Alabama (28-8) moves up one spot to No.11. The Tigers won a home series against Trevecca Nazarene with a midweek win over Tuskegee, going 3-1 on the week.
Lenoir-Rhyne (26-8-1) dropped four spots to No.12 after a 2-2 week. The Bears won a midweek game against Georgia College before dropping two of three in a road series against Newberry.
North Georgia (31-9) moves up two spots to No.13 after sweeping Georgia Southwestern over the weekend and a midweek loss to Lee, going 3-1.
Cal State Monterey Bay (25-9) moves up three spots with a 3-1 weekend against Cal Poly Pomona, who split a four-game series against Colorado Mesa.
Central Missouri (25-8) went 1-3 and fell eight spots to No.15. The Mules dropped a midweek game to now No.24 Northwest Missouri State on the road. Then, at home, Central Missouri lost two of three against now No.10 Rogers State.
Young Harris (28-10) went 1-3 with a win over Tusculum in the midweek before getting swept by Top 5 North Greenville. With the closeness of the games, Young Harris drops only three spots to No.16.
Belmont Abbey (28-8) moves seven spots to No.17 after continuing their win streak to 12 games, after winning two midweek games against ranked Wingate and Augusta.
West Chester (22-5) moves up four spots to No.18 after a series win against Kutztown, winning three of four games.
Wayne State (MI) (23-7) remains at No.19 with a series split over four games against Grand Valley State.
Seton Hill (25-6) moves up three spots to No.20 after going 4-1. It started with a midweek loss to Shepherd before Seton Hill swept its four game series against Lock Haven.
Rollins (23-9) stays the same at No.21 with a sweep over Florida Tech and a midweek loss to Flagler.
West Florida (27-9) won a road game against Spring Hill before getting swept at home by Lee, causing the drop of 13 spots to No.22. The Argos recently announced they will be moving to Division I next season.
Wingate (28-10) went 2-2 this past week, losing a midweek to Belmont Abbey before a series win against Carson-Newman. The Bulldogs drop seven spots to No.23.
Northwest Missouri State (26-9) and MSU Denver (28-6) enter at No.24 and No.25, respectively, after 4-0 weeks. Northwest Missouri State beat Central Missouri in a midweek game and swept UAFS. MSU Denver has now won 14 in a row.
