March 23 D2 Baseball Top 25: Top 7 Remain the same, New Team in Top 10, Two New Teams Enter Rankings


The Top 7 spots in the Latest D2 Baseball Top 25 remain the same. Pittsburg State went 3-1. Tampa went 3-0.

Catawba went 3-1. Colorado Mesa went 4-0.

Point Loma went 3-1.

North Greenville went 5-0.

Central Missouri went 4-0.


Grand Valley State moves up two spots to No.8 after going 4-0 in Florida, beating Embry-Riddle and Middle Georgia twice each.


Lenoir-Rhyne remains at No.9 after a 3-1 week, sweeping Coker at home and losing a midweek contest to now-ranked Belmont Abbey.


Cal State Monterey Bay moves up three spots to No.10 after a weekend home sweep against Western Oregon.


West Florida remains put at No.11 after a 5-0 week with two wins over GSW and a sweep of Union. West Alabama drops four spots to No.12 after a 2-2 week.


l State Monterey Bay swept its series in conference play and moves up two spots to No.13. Francis Marion went 2-2 this week, but moved four spots to No.14 after winning a series against then No.9 now No.15 Young Harris. The Patriots only other loss was to ranked Catawba.


Francis Marion and Young Harris each move up one spot to No.13 and No.14, respectively. Francis Marion went 3-1 on the week with a road sweep of Emmanuel, while Young Harris went 4-0 on the week with a weekend sweep over then-No.23 UNC Pembroke.


North Georgia drops three spots to No.15 after a 2-2 week all at home, which included a midweek loss to No.6 North Greenville and a series win against Flagler.


UT Tyler and Augustana each move up three spots to No.17 and No.18, respectively after weekend sweeps by both teams.


Wayne State (MI) remains at No.19 after winning three of four games on the road at Parkside.


Rogers State moves up to No.20, winning their sixteenth game in a row after a 4-0 week.


Rollins drops four spots to No.21 after a series loss to Nova Southeastern, winning just one of three games. West Chester remains at No.22 after going 3-1 on the weekend against Mansfield.


Seton Hill enters at No.23 after sweeping a four game series against then-RV team Slippery Rock.


Belmont Abbey enters after a 5-0 week, which included a road midweek win over No.9 Lenoir-Rhyne, a home midweek win over Augusta, and a weekend road sweep of 3 games over King.


Trevecca Nazarene drops seven spots to No.25 after a 3-2 week, due to a 10-run loss in the midweek to Harding. The Trojans walked off Tusculum on Wednesday and won two of three against Mississippi College over the weekend.
